November 1992: Darrel Brown found a very red native stone buried approximately 8 inches deep, directly beside and south of the grave of Mary Freeman, wife of Wiley Freeman. " The stone was placed as a footstone for an unmarked grave and had been there for quite some time. The stone was raised to ground level at its original location. This is undoubtedly the final resting place of Wiley Freeman. About 15 feet further south is the grave of Tabitha Watkins Freeman and directly beside and south is her first husband and son of Wiley, Levington Allen Freeman."
