James Dolphus Coleman, age 68, died Thursday in a Lexington Hospital. He was born December 26, 1923 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Charlie Coleman and Florence Hall Coleman Truslow. He was a self employed carpenter and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Lois Marie W. Coleman of Buena Vista; three daughters, Jane C. Wood of Vesuvius, Regina C. Clark, Gail C. Miller, son, Buck Coleman all of Buena Vista; five sisters, Jenny Clark, Betty Tyree and Buelah Clark, all of Buena Vista; Mary Clark, Audrey Clark, both of Lexington; two brothers, Allen Truslow, Elmer Coleman, both of Buena Vista; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 26, 1992 from Lomax Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Lomax Funeral Home.
