He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served with the 773rd Battalion in General Patton's Third Army. He saw action at the Battle of the Bulge and other campaigns, which resulted in six decorations and several citations.
Mr. Gladstone then worked for Adley Express and Quinn Freight Lines until his retirement in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, a son, a sister, six grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, and eight sisters: Lillian Reteare, Yetta DiSesa; Esther Baron, Bertha Farkas; Ruth Gladstone, Fanny Gladstone, Sally Modugno, and Blossom Street; along with four brothers: Louis, Aaron, Sam and Frank Gladstone.
