Sue Gassert
1949 ~ 2013
Sue passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2013 after a 13 year battle with cancer. She was 64 years young. She was consistently surrounded with family and friends that loved her dearly.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Virginia Beach, VA where she met and married her first husband, Ed Faulkner. They were married for almost 25 years and brought a son, Jim, and a daughter, Janice, into the world. They moved their family from Dayton, Ohio to Boise, Idaho in 1973 to pursue the outdoors and quality of life in Boise, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Faulkner.
She was lucky enough to find love a second time around when she met her husband, Cliff Gassert. They married in 1993 and continued to enjoy each other's unconditional love for their 20 year marriage.
For those that knew Sue personally, you would already know that she is one of the most caring, selfless, positive and happiest people some will ever meet. She always insisted to 'pay it forward' and did so each day of her life.
She has touched and inspired the lives of many.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home at 1205 W. Bannock St. in Boise, Idaho. The family would invite you to attend and share any memories you may have of Sue.
