BARKER, RUSSELL, 74, of Clearwater, died Sunday (Sept. 10, 2000) at home. He was born in Peoria, Ill., and came here in 1988 from Chatsworth, Ill., where he retired after 24 years as a farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the European and Asian theaters. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the American Legion, both in Chatsworth. Survivors include his wife, Loretta; two sons, Russell F., Chatsworth, and Jeffory J., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; four sisters, Rosie Gebauer, Geraldine Knobloch, Kathleen Vanpelt and Jean Davis, all of Clearwater; a brother, Roland, Peoria; and four grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Largo.
