DEFFENBAUGH - Sara Jane, 57, Nanty Glo, died Sept 23, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 21, 1956, in Johnstown, daughter of William Lemon & Mary Rita (Tilley) Wysel. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Walter L.; William C.; and Ronald B. Wysel; friend, Marcelle Pier, and faithful "fur son" of 19 years, Blackpepper. Survived by husband, Ronald W. Deffenbaugh; Nanty Glo; brother, Glenn E. Wysel, Nanty Glo; numerous nieces & nephews; and faithful and loving companions, "fur son", Rusty and "fur daughters", Munchkin and Angel. Sara was a 1974 North Star High School graduate and received a Medical Secretary Assistant certificate from Admiral Peary Vocational Technical School in 1995. She was a member of the Joseph Schantz Chapter D.A.R. and Ruth F. Barnhart D.U.V.C.W Tent #56, Pleasant Unity. She was an avid genealogist, NASCAR fan and classic car enthusiast. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home. Inc., South Fork, by Very Rev. Father Andrew C. Stanko, VF. Committal, South Fork Cemetery.
