A. Kathryn Messner, 95, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Fairmount Homes. Born in Caernarvon Twp., PA, Kathryn was a daughter of the late Christian and Elva (Becker) Fry and wife of the late Lloyd E. Messner.
Kathryn was a housewife, and member of Grace E. C. Church in Ephrata, where she was formerly Church Choir Director, Organist, and Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine L., wife of Richard A. Gerwer of Lititz, PA, one granddaughter, Michelle L., wife of Joseph Cox of Stevens, PA, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Gerwer and a brother, Lester Fry.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6th. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Phil Walck officiating. Place of interment will be Churchtown U. M. Cemetery.
