Frances Ellen was born to William Henry and Mary Knight Manhard. She crossed the plains with the Mormon Pioneers headed to Salt Lake City, Utah when she was only 6 years old. She married James Ephriam Twitchell and had 11 children:Mary Melissa,William Henry, Franklin Monroe, Edwin Sylvester,Lois Virginia,Caroline,Steven Alvin,Ancil Theodore,Francis Marion, Effie and Sarah Ellen. She was a strong and faithful memeber of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by two children and her sweetheart Ephriam.
