Reininger, John R.

John R. Reininger, formerly of 515 North 10th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

John was born on July 1, 1915, in Manitowoc, son of the late Rudolph and Edna (Mahnke) Reininger. He married the former Violet Yohanek on March 17, 1933 in Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on January 22, 1999. John was employed by the Mirro Aluminum Company. He loved gardening, a good glass of wine, the sun, telling wonderful stories, and his cats, especially White Foot.

Survivors include his three children: Roger (Nancy) Reininger, Manitowoc; Carol Huybers, Two Rivers; Nancy (Jim) Campbell, Reedsville; nine grandchildren: Ann (Dale) Spang; Mary (Bob) Martin; Jon (Lori) Reininger; Kelly (Dan) Mauer; Brett Huybers; Jan Larribas; Damon Huybers; Cassandra (Greg) Folsom; Aaron Campbell; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law: George (Jo) Yohanek; Cordova, TN; good friend: Tim Leahy. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Violet Yohanek.

No services will be held. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home is assisting the Reininger family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com.
