He was married to Hazel Frances White (1930–2005) on January 5, 1946 in Williamson County, Tennessee .
George was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center, was a retired US Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and was retired from Yellow Freight as a truck driver.
A resident of Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee, George was 78 years old when he passed away on July 10, 2006 at Kindred Hospital, Nashville.
Survivors included three married sons, five brothers, six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
