At the age of 23 years, he was married to Mabel Maud Lewis (1885-1957) on 6 October 1908 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. They became the parents of Ross Lewis Holt (1915-1971), Jack Lewis Holt (1917-1992) and Catherine Beckstead Holt (1922-1925). Arthur passed away 12 May 1960 at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah of Coronary Thrombosis. He was 74 years of age. Arthur was laid to rest next to his wife in the Salt Lake City Cemetery on 16 May 1960.
