OXFORD - Carl W. Nabors , 81, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was the husband of the late Olivia Lewis Nabors. He was an honor graduate of the University of Mississippi with both bachelor and master degrees in accounting. He was a retired CPA and professor of accounting at Ole Miss after more than 30 years. He served as chairman of the accounting department and acting dean of the School of Business Administration. He was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa and Alpha Tau Omega. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving overseas, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oxford.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Oxford with the Rev. John Semmes and the Rev. Katherine Cooke officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oxford. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one sister, Beatrice N. Bratton of Oxford; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church fellowship hall.
