James A. Donovan died from injuries he sustained as a pedestrian when hit by a car. Mr. Donovan died at the age of 85. He was a retired carpenter.

Surviving siblings: Mrs. Maude Mooney Lane of Benton, IL and Mrs. Leo Lugo of Hawthorne, CA

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Mae Donovan and children, Mrs. Norman Blakely of Paducah; Mrs. Bessie Mae Sanderson of Detroit; Mrs. Hallie Shepherd of Santa Barbara, CA; and James A. Donovan Jr. of Paducah.

His funeral service was held at Lindsey Funeral Home. Officiating were Rev. Mark Fletcher and Rev. E. E. Thurmond.
