U.S. Veteran Mr. Coleman Benefiel, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky died at 3:55am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Life Way Nursing & Rehab Center, Benton, Kentucky.
Mr. Benefiel was born September 3, 1931 in Monroe County, Mississippi to the late Francis Marion Benefiel and Louie Elizabeth Coleman Benefiel.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Benefiel; a son, Terry Benefiel; one sister and one brother. He was a retired mechanic and operated a mowing service for over 24 years. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his son, Tony Benefiel (Paula), Benton; one daughter, Sarah Green (Jack), Mayfield; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00pm Monday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Benefiel officiating with burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family after 11:00am on Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Lourdes Hospice.
