TULIA - Amber Brown Sanders, 99, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997.
Mrs. Sanders was born and raised in Cottonwood, Callahan County. She moved to Whitesboro in 1913, to Marietta, Okla. in 1928, to Wellington in 1941, and to Swisher County in 1956.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a housewife.
She married William Boyett Sanders in 1915 in Sadler. He died in 1978.
She was preceded in death by a son, W.C. Sanders in 1986.
Survivors include five daughters, Muriel Fincher and Jesse Orr, both of Tulia, Billie Barfield and Jean Hedrick, both of Amarillo and Pauline Hoyler of Dimmitt; five sons, A.T. Sanders of Martha, Okla., and J.L. Sanders of Marlow, Okla., Eddie Sanders and Eldon Sanders, both of Levelland and James Sanders of Tulia; 35 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
