SHREVEPORT, LA - Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA, for Mr. Leon A. Williford, 77, of Shreveport, Wednesday, April 18, 1990 at 2:30 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. H. D. Smith of Western Hills Baptist Church where Mr. Williford was a member. Interment will be at Centuries Park.

He entered into rest Monday, April 16, 1990 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Williford was a resident of Shreveport for over 50 years. He retired from Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company after 26 years service.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Williford; son, Freddy G. Williford and wife, Clara of Shreveport; daughter, Helen Allstott and husband, Joe of Shreveport; step-daughter, Erlene Festervan of Beaumont, Texas; one brother, Douglas Williford of Jasper, Texas; four sisters, Leda Lilley and Gladys Stilley of Timpson, Texas, Maureen Bauer of Center, Texas, and Evelyn Kidd of Ft. Lauderdale, Texas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers will be Tommy Williford, Rusty Williford, Mike DeMoss, Jimmy Monkhouse, Wilson Gates and Jerry Corie.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Building Fund of Western Hills Baptist Church.
