Charles Marts, 85 of Pana, IL., died Monday December 26, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Pana, IL.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care
is in charge of arrangements.
Charles was born July 29, 1926 in Pana son of Charley and Laura Marts. He was a retired farmer. He
also retired from St. Mary's Hospital maintenance department. Charles served in the U.S. Army during
W.W. II. He married Charlotte Hawker May 5, 1950 in Pana. Charles was a member of Elks, Moose,
Eagles and VFW all of Pana, American Legion Post 105, 40/8 of Decatur and Grace United Methodist Church Decatur.
Surviving are his son, Charles E. (Pamela) Marts Sr., of Decatur, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Charles was a great husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
