Maxine, 81, of Ithaca, MI went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
Funeral Services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Sunday, November 3, 2013, with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating.
Maxine was the daughter of Howard A. and Hazel M. (Goodspeed) Mills. She married Alfred James Nicewander on June 21, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1974.
Maxine retired from General Telephone Company on December 31, 1991.
She is survived by daughter Denise and Dennis Womack of Phoenix, AZ, son Alan and Courtney Nicewander of Ithaca, MI, 7 grandchildren; David and Jamie Slepr of Sabattus, ME, Joel Slepr of Las Vegas, NV, Shaun Harrier of Livonia, MI, Adam and Mary Harrier of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Sunshine and Todd Westmaas of Jenison, MI, Elisha Anthony of Ludington, MI, and Jessica Nicewander and Kurtis Eddie of Allendale, MI, and 12 great grandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her step sister Lorraine E. Peters.
