SANFORD E THORNE
Sanford E. Thorne, 70yrs old, a resident of the West Side, Connellsville, died suddenly at the house of his brother, John Thorne at Reevesville (sic), WV, where he was employed as a mason. Mr. Thorne had been a resident of Connellsville for 11yrs. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Snyder Thorne and the following children: William H. Thorne of Niagara Falls, NY; Thomas F. Thorne of Versailles; Mrs M. Moore of Pittsburgh; Mrs H B Williams of Youngstown, OH; Mrs Bertha T. Warden of Pittsburg and Charles, Stanford, and Herschel Thorne at home(sic). The funeral service will be held at the home at 203 N. 7th St with burial at Hill Grove Cemetery, Dr. Bennett W. Hutchinson, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which Mr. Thorne was a member, will officiate. NOTE: left out was son, Raymond, also at home. His 10th child, son Dwain, died in 1916
