Mr. Rueben Harrison Poole of Cottonwood passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the age of 72.
He will be buried Friday, November 1. The family will receive friends at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 PM; the service will immediately follow at 3 PM with Pastor Mark Kocsis officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mr. Poole was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up in Hartford, AL, graduating from Geneva County High. He loved his church, Trinity Lutheran, where he was a longtime, active member. Mr. Poole was employed for many years in the plumbing business before retiring in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Wanda Poole and brother, Johnny Poole.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Poole of Cottonwood, AL; one son, Rueben (Monica) of Dothan, AL; daughter, Alice Pearce (Alan) of Bluefield, VA; Samantha Carter (Mills) of Dothan, AL; daughter,; daughter, Kelley Poole (Joe) of St. Augustine, FL; sister, Joan Thomas (Adger) of Hartford, AL; brother, Burch Poole (Sue) of Dothan, AL; grandchildren: Daniel, Lauren, John David, Rueben Burke, Fitz, Mary Mills, Jacob, Jaycee, Josie.
