He worked for Caletti Constructon Co., later known as Standard Structures Inc. of Healdsburg, CA as a field superintendent. George worked on the Orleans Bridge which was completed in 1940 and hauled up the beams for the original Orleans School in 1959. He retired in 1970 after 40 years there.
Gearge lived in the Hoopa area for the last 10 years. He moved to San Francisco in 1980 to live with his daughter because of illness.
He was cremated in San Francisco and his ashes were buried at the family cemetery on Kepel Flat, Yurok Reservation, near the "Klamath River" in Humboltd County, CA
