Maxine went to school at Juanita school, in Sunnyside, WA. Sunnyside is where she spent most of her life. She was married to Henry Bender for 50 yrs. They had 2 children, a daughter Bonnie Elaine Bender and a son Henry Paul Bender (who died at birth). She loved to quilt and to fish & camp with her husband. She also volunteered and received many awards for her work at the Sunnyside Museum. She attended and was a member of Calvary Lutheran church in Sunnyside, WA.
She is survived by her sister Bernice Duke, her daughter Bonnie Bender-Gallagher and son in-law Harry Gallagher, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA.
