WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Caro Lee Langston, 92, of West Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Holland Avenue Baptist Church. Reverend Charles Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Langston, beloved wife of L.B. "Curley" Langston, Jr., passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013. Born in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Wattie F. Lee and Mellon Edge Lee. She had been a West Columbia resident since 1952, and was formerly of Florence. she was a Charter Member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church and a Bible Study teacher for many years. She retired from the SC State Department of Education.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, L.B. Langston, Jr., are sons, Martin Langston (Karin), Leroy B. Langston, Jr. (Clara), Jonathan L. Langston (Alice), and David W. Langston (Debbie); grandchildren, Regina Brewer, Chambre Nelssen, Jerome Pelfrey, Debbie Chary Lee Langston, III, Layne Langston, Lawrence Langston, and Patrick Langston; great-grandchildren, Dylan Langston, Coty Langston, Laura Lee Langston, George Brewer, Blair Nelssen, Anna Dora Nelssen, Austin Pelfrey, Connor Pelfrey, Hanna Chary, Jesse Chary, Eleanna Langston, Nicholas Langston, and Grant Langston. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dixie Buffkin; brothers, Harold Muldrow Lee and Virgel B. Lee; and niece, Dixie Lee Buffkin Collins.
