Mr. Forsman was born on July 1, 1917, in Keuterville, Idaho. He moved to Oregon in 1945 and married Margaret Abbl in 1946.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a PFC in the 3rd Armored Division's 9th Field Artillery. He worked as a mechanic for Haugen Automotive for 35 years, and subsequently, for several years at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Margaret of Portland, include two children, Marlene Brannon of Tualatin and Gerard Forsman of Portland; brother Herman Forsman of Cottonwood, Idaho; and two grandchildren, Heather Brannon and John McInnes.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday at St. Anthony's Church in Tigard. A graveside service with military funeral honors was performed at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
