Sharon Stepp, 71, a long-time resident of Guthrie, OK, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2012.

Sharon was born November 15, 1940 in Guthrie, to Joe and Iris Gooch. Shortly after her birth, her father Joe was transferred to Burlingame, KS where she and her sister, JoAnn "Jody" grew up.

After graduating from Burlingame High School in 1958, Sharon and her best friend Glenda Supple set off on an adventure of Big City Life in Topeka, KS. It was here that she crossed paths with a spunky 21 years old U.S. Air Force Airman named Charles Stepp. While they didn't see eye to eye at first, Sharon eventually won his heart and he dearly fell in love with her and he became her "Bud".

In May 1961, Robin Lynne came into their life, and in July 1962 Dawn Michelle joined them. These two darling babies changed their lives forever.

In 1974 Sharon and her family moved back to Guthrie from Huntington Beach, CA. She was proud to return to her ancestral home of the Gooch Family who were in the Land Run of 1889.

Sharon made many friends and formed countless lasting relationships during her years working at the First Capital Bank.

Her interests included painting, collecting Elvis memorabilia, and fishing. She was an active member of Friendship Church.

Nothing was more precious to her than spending time with her family and watching each of her children and grandchildren grow and succeed in life.

Sharon is survived by her husband Chuck, her best friend, soul mate, and husband of 52 years; two daughters and their spouses Robin & Todd Summers and Dawn & Gerald Reames; six grandchildren Meagan (Jed), Robby, Tanner (Jessica), Brianna (Brandon), Baylor, and Channing; and one great-grandson Keller. She is also survived by her sister Jody Smith (RC) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Iris Gooch.

Sharon lived life every day trying to be the best person she could be. She knew where she was going when she left this Earth and she was ready when God called her home.

Her family and friends are sad because we have lost an exceptional lady, but she wouldn't want us to be too sad – in her own words during a conversation with Meagan about the afterlife she said, "I will be ready to see Jesus and finally get to rock with Elvis."
