Virginia L. Luing, 80, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Mercy Hospice Johston. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial at Restland Cemetery in Baxter. Visitation will occur from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Virginia was born July 16, 1926 to Earl and Ida Adams in Wellman, Iowa. She married Howard Luing and retired from Mr. D's Super Valu in Highland Park after 20 years of service.
Virginia is survived by her children, Marlene Sutton of Ankeny, Linda (Earl) Kennel of Grimes, Raymond (Cheryl) Luing of Des Moines, and Bill (Sue) Luing of Baxter; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and brother Ronnie (Mary) Adams of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; and three sisters.
