Albert Luther Puffenbarger, 75, well known farmer and merchant and life-long resident of Highland, died unexpectedly at his home in Blue Grass Thursday morning, Feb. 19, after a lingering illness. He was the son of Christian L. and Sarah Halterman Puffenbarger and was married in 1910 to Miss Eliza Fleisher Who preceded him in death June 6, 1956. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Charles R. Newlen, Mrs. Raymond L. Wimer, Mrs. Leo Mullenax and Miss Lillian Puffenbarger, all of Blue Grass; two sons, Harry Luther and William Dale Puffenbarger both of Blue Grass; three sisters, Mrs. H.H. Rexrode, Churchville; Mrs. Almeda Arbogast, Staunton; and Miss Stella Puffenbarger, Blue Grass. Ten grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from Union Chapel Church by Rev. Charles P. Price. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, with Obaugh Funeral n charge of arrangements.
