Mary McNeil Stuart, age 80, a resident of High Point, passed away Thursday, October 2013.
She was born October 16, 1933 in Guilford County, NC to the late Charles Stuart and Roxie Wilson Stuart and had been a resident of this area all her life. She received her Undergraduate Degree from High Point College and after college, she worked for the Chamber of Commerce of High Point, and retired after 30 years of service. After retirement she continued to work part time at the Presbyterian Home as long as her health permitted. Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the church choir, taught Sunday school, participated in Meals on Wheels and served the church in many other capacities. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her brother; Charles Stuart, and her sisters; Anne Boyles and Sarah McLean.
Surviving are 3 nieces and 8 nephews.
A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 28th, 2013 from the First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Dr. Kenneth Broman-Fulks officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service, in the Family Life Center at the church. Memorials in Mary's memory may be sent to: First Presbyterian Church, 918 N. Main Street, High Point, NC 27262, or to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
