The Huntsville Times, Thursday, November 19, 1936: Mrs. Hudson’s Funeral Held. Aged Woman Buried At Plevna Cemetery Yesterday Afternoon. Sarah E. Hudson, 73, wife of W. J. Hudson, who died at the home near Plevna Tuesday evening, was buried yesterday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted from the residence with the Rev. Allie Fanning of Huntsville and the Rev. L. B. Collins of New Market officiating. Interment was made in Miller cemetery at Plevna with J. C. Moore and Son of Winchester in charge of arrangements. The sons and sons-in-law of Mrs. Hudson served as pallbearers. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hudson is survived by two sons, A. F. Hudson of Huntsville, and O. L. Hudson of New Market; four daughters, Mrs. Blanton Davis and Mrs. Claude Evans of Winchester, Mrs. S. B. Morris of New Market, and Mrs. Jesse Moore of Winchester; two brothers, W. W. Howard of New Market, and N. E. Howard of Toney; one sister, Mrs. Kate Jacks of Elora, Route 1. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Although she had been in failing health, Mrs. Hudson did not become seriously ill until several days ago.
