Carl W. J. Gift, 72, of 2804 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, died June 18 at 11:15 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient one week.
He was the husband of Victoria (Rehr) Gift.
Born in Kutztown, he was a sone of the late Robert A. and Cora M. (Snavel) Gift.
Gift was employed for 40 years as a line repairman by Parish Structural Products Division of Dana Corp, Reading, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Tuckerton.
Gift was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by a son, Dean C., Reading; and four daughters: Melody M. Gift, Wernersville; and Kathy K. (Gift) Figeroah and Toye L., and Kelly M. Gift, all of Reading.
Other survivors include a brother, Clyde A., of Kutztown; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in John P. Feeney Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
