TEXT OF OBITUARY: (June 08, 1953)
Mrs. J.A. Mullinax, 77, of 740 N. Liberty Street, died Sunday at 2:15 p.m. at General Hospital after two weeks' illness.
Mrs. Mullinax was a native of Wilmington, N.C., but had lived in Spartanburg 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Taylor and Mrs. George Brockett of Spartanburg; one brother, I.T. William of Spartanburg; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 4 p.m. at J.F. Floyd Mortuary. The Revs. John L. Slaughter and Capers Satterlee will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Winn, Gardner Smith, M.B. Mills, Martin Caldwell, R.E. Falligant, J. Adams, Earl Bagwell, and David Dover.
The body is at the mortuary.
