JENSEN, Patricia Penrod
(January 16th 1947 – October 23rd 2013) It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend has ended her battle with breast cancer. Patricia was born and raised in Lehi, Utah. Daughter of Rhea Jenkins and Cloyed Arnold Penrod . She graduated from Lehi High School in 1965 and went on to study at Dixie State College. She loved to tap and and ballet dance and she participated in many performances and competitions throughout her school years. Through her life she served her country as a staff sergeant in the Utah Army National Guard. She held multiple ward callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a member of "The Daughter of the Utah Pioneers". She was an avid and extremely talented quilter and enjoyed hours of quilting alongside her friends and husband in the Yuba-Sutter Valley Quilt Guild. "Lady" was married to Clyde DeRay Jensen (Top) on the 4th of Feb 1983, and sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland temple on the 24th of November 1990. "Mom" is survived by her children, Gidget (Mike), Heidi (Patrice), Penny (Billy), DeRay (Emily), Chris (Corene), Jeremy (Jenny), Karol (Rick), and Chad (Tyler). "Trisha" is survived by her brother Jim (Aurora) and their 8 children, and "Tish" is also survived by her brother Ron (Linda) and their 5 children. What ultimately fulfilled her are "Grandma's" 22 grandkids, ranging in ages from 2 to 26. She adored her grandkids and loved sharing her quilting and love of Disneyland with them. In 2012, "Tish" convinced her brother Ron to let her take a cross country trip with him on the back of his motorcycle. They travelled from Southern California north through Utah to meet up with their eldest brother Jim. From there they travelled up to Logan and participated in the 150 mile "Ride for the Fallen" motorcycle rally. She couldn't stop talking about her amazing experience with her brother and was bound and determined to do it again. In August of 2013, they got on the "bike" in Southern California, and enjoyed that ride together again. Throughout their 30 year marriage, travelling was something they just couldn't get enough of. For the past 10 years "Top and Lady" have taken yearly journeys to Hawaii where she loved to snorkel, enjoy the smell of the ocean, and feel the warmth of the sun. 2014 will be no different; "Top" will be taking "Lady" on one last journey to her favorite place to swim in the ocean forever. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services, however a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Leave memories of Patricia and comments for the family at https://www.facebook.com/patricia.p.jensen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org/index. Patricia once said, "It's a fight I may have to keep fighting, but I am not going to let it beat me!" She never did.
