"The body of Albert M. [sic] Grimm, 75 years old, was taken from the Blue River yesterday by city workmen on the bridge on U.S. Highway No. 40, near Leeds, Mo. L. H. Dolan, deputy coroner, said he believed the death was caused by drowning.

For a time, the body remained unidentified at the Eylar undertaking establishment. Fred E. Andregg, 2812 Wenzel avenue, a former neighbor of Mr. Grimm, made the identification.

A basket and the dead man's coat were found at 3600 Raytown road. A card bearing his name was found in the basket. A Negro boy told police that he had talked with Mr. Grimm early yesterday morning about fishing. The boy said the man carried no fishing pole.
