Word has been received here of the death in Nacogdoches December 19 of Houston Howard, 54, husband of the former Miss Frances Faulk of Athens, who died several years ago. He had been in ill health for some time.
Funeral services were held the following Sunday in Nacogdoches.

Mr. Howard was born and reared in Farmersville. He went to Mabank after receiving a discharge from the Army following World War I, in which he saw overseas service in Europe, and entered the dry goods business with a brother, Jess Howard.

He was married while in Mabank to Miss Faulk, who was teaching music in the Mabank school at that time.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Billy Howard; two sisters, Mrs. Jess Adams of Mabank and Mrs. F.L. Smith of Fort Worth; six brothers, George Howard of Durant, Oklahoma, John Howard of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Van Howard of Washington, Hershel Howard of Dallas, Jess Howard of Center and Hill Howard of Wortham.
