She was born Oct. 7, 1904, near Melrose, to George and Johanna Feehan Stone. She
married Patrick F. Crall Sr., on Aug. 19, 1930 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in
Georgetown. He died May 9, 1966. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband
until his death at which time she moved to Albia. A resident of Monroe County all her
life, she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albia and St. Mary’s Altar and
Rosary Society. She enjoyed making ceramics, was known for her quilt making and was a
wonderful candy maker.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Agnes Wynn of Albia; three sons, Patrick Crall Jr.,
Edward Crall and James Crall, all of Albia; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
three sisters, Mary Crall, Elizabeth Lahart and Helen O’Brien, all of Albia; and one brother, George Stone of Des
Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two granddaughters, Mary Ann Crall and Lisa Maureen Crall; and
three sisters, Catherine Ryan, Margaret Besco and Joanna Comer.
Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Winfield Funeral Home in Albia, with the family present from 6-8
p.m., Wednesday evening. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday evening.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Patrick’s Cemetery Association in Georgetown or Monroe
County Hospice.
Winfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
