Nellie S. Allison, age 85, of Saltville, died Sunday, April 16, 2000 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Buck Allison and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Smith. She was a retired LPN and was of the Pentecostal faith. Surviving are two sons, Clarence R. "Buddy" Allison and Neal Rodney Allison, both of Kingsport, Tenn.; two sisters, Bessie Lee Allison, Kingsport, Tenn., and Myrtle Hess, Saltville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with her grandsons, the Rev. Dave Allison and the Rev. Paul Allison officiating. Burial followed in the Elizabeth Cemetery. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
