BARNES, ARCHIE LOUIS, 78, went home to be with the Lord January 15, 2007 in Orlando. Mr. Barnes was born June 15, 1928 in Orangeburg, SC. Mr. Barnes retired from the US Air Force, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Dover Shores Baptist Church, was an avid golfer and in the past enjoyed hunting, bowling, fishing and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Dee Barnes of Orlando; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Gail and Mike Young of Longbeach, MS; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Louis and Beth Barnes of Orlando; five grandchildren, Christina Martin (Thomas), Christopher Louis Barnes (Krystal), Robert Young (Kathryn), A. J. Young and Aubrey Bradford; great granddaughter, Eisa Ceballo; brother, Mannie Barnes of Orangeburg, SC; and sisters, Mae Haddock also of Orangeburg, SC and Betty Jean Morris of SC. A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 18th from 6-8PM at the Baldwin Fairchild Conway Chapel. Funeral Services Friday, January 19th at 10AM at Dover Shores Baptist Church with interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
