HAYFIELD -- The funeral for Milan R. Copeman will be 11 a.m. Monday at Vernon-Czaplewski Funeral Home in Hayfield, with the Rev. Reginald Torrison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
Mr. Copeman, 68, of Hayfield, died Thursday afternoon (Oct. 5, 1995) of heart failure in Dodge Center.
He was born Aug. 16, 1927, in Fillmore County. On Dec. 28, 1958, he married Lena Schwartz at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Mr. Copeman was a retired farm laborer and Hayfield Window Company employee. Mrs. Copeman died April 19, 1981. He is survived by four stepdaughters, Alice Sams, Betty Stemiskim and Grace Kinnear, all of Rochester and Doris Thoe of Charles City, Iowa; a stepson, Kenny Schwartz of Eyota; his mother, Bertha Copeman of Spring Valley; two brothers, Roger Copeman of Spring Valley and Gary Copeman of Eyota; and a sister, Bonnie (Mrs. Bob) Cain of Wabasha. He was preceded in death by two stepsons.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Vernon-Czaplewski Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Monday.
