Edward Wallace Hopkins, 95, passed away Friday, January 27 in Roanoke, Virginia. Ed was born near Brewster on May 24, 1916 to Wallace and Martha Lukens Hopkins. His first wife, Ruth, and brother, Reed Hopkins preceded him in death. A graduate of Colgate University and a World War II veteran, since 1950 Ed had lived in Virginia, where he had careers in business and education. Surviving are his wife, Lois; children, Martha, Nancy (Harvey), and Edward Reed; brother, Richard Hopkins (Astrid), Cortland Manor; and niece, Susan Hopkins, Cornwall. Service 11 a.m., February 14, Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, by the Rev. Martin McGeachy.
