Ewward (sp.) Nicodemus was born at Pine Creek, Ill., Aug 22, 1863, and died at the Johnson County Nursing Home Saturday afternoon, April 1, 1950. He came to Johnson County and Olathe at the turn of he century some 50 years ago and followed the carpenter trade until he retired about 10 years ago.
He was married to Mrs. Alberta Miller at Paola Kans., in March of 1925. Besides his widow of Olathe, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Verna Strawer, 508 Southeast 45th street, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Barbara Walbert, Oregon City, Ore., Mrs. Nellie McGinnis, whose home is in Nebraska, four stepsons, Harold & Ralph Miller, Olathe, Clarence Miller, Grants Pass, Ore., and a step-daughter, Evelyn Babcock, Pomona, Calif.
Funeral services in the Julien Chapel Monday afternoon, April 3, 1950 at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. W. E. Babb pastor of the First Christian church. Interment in Olathe City cemetery.
