Charles A. "Hoot" Taylor, 52, Hudson, formerly of Bloomington, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday at Mennonite Hospital. He had been ill about a year.

Mr. Taylor was a warehouse foreman foreman for Lynks Hybrids Seed Corn Co., Hudson.

Mr. Taylor was born March 26, 1928 in Bloomington, a son of John Herbert and Mary Coupe Taylor. He married Bertha J. Pinneo on June 23, 1951 in Bloomington. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Charles A. Taylor Jr., St. Robert, Missouri and Rodney A. Taylor, Hudson; six sisters, Carrie Burgess, 901 Kern St., Normal; Rosemond Sheets, Sanford, Florida; Clara Ross, Downs; Elsie Price, Columbia, Tennesee; Mary Hodge, 208 Darrah St. and Helen Schaefer, LeRoy; five brothers, Howard, rural Downs; Ben, 309 Stillwell St.; Delmar, Menard; Wilbur, Bloomington and Jack, Iowa and three grandchildren.

His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
