Funeral Friday at 2:30 for William S. Bartley

Funeral services will be conducted at Union No. 2, Friday afternoon at 2:30 for Mr. William Samuel Bartley, 74, who succumbed at Samson Community Hospital Wednesday morning after an illness of nearly one year.

Mr. Bartley, a retired farmer, was a prominent citizen of the Temple Hill section and was a member of the Methodist Church. He was born in Indiana and was a son of the late William and Phoebe Park Bartley.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Viola Bartley; four daughters, Mrs. Comer Thomas, Glasgow; Mrs. Howard Wiley, Nobob; Mrs. Kermit Arterburn, Louisville; Mrs. Leon Smart, Frankfort, Ind.; two sons, Ralph Bartley, Nobob and James A.; Bartley, Pontiac, Ill. Also surviving are a brother John Bartley, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Frodge and Mrs. Maggie Anderson, both of Monroe county.

After services by Rev. J.S. Ferguson interment will be in the church cemetery at Union #2 under direction of Crow Funeral Home
