Theda Vilate Call Bennett died June 4, 1993 of complications from TTP, a rare blood disease.

Born July 10, 1928 in Ogden, Utah, daughter of Orvis Anson and Zetta Smith Call. She graduated from Ogden High School. She earned the Registered Nurse designation from the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, San Francisco, 1950.She worked as a nurse part time as her heath and family circumstances permitted. She was employed by the Epilepsy Association of Utah, of which she was director; the LDS Hospital, the Utah State Health Department, Western Institute of Neuropsychiatry, and Applegate Home Health Agency.

She married Wallace Grant Bennett October 19, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Active in the LDS Church, she was the first Relief Society president in the Primary Children's Medical Center Branch at its 12th Ave location, and served in various other ward and stake callings. She accompanied her husband to England in 1970-1973, when they presided over the England South Mission.
