He was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Advance and was a maintenance supervisor for Prudential Life Ins. Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of the United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Akers, Mrs. Carolyn Wulff and Mrs. Linda Musgraves; a stepson, Jim Swindell; His father, William A. Rhodes; brothers, Cecil and Paul Rhodes; sisters, Mrs. Jewell Redman, Mrs. Nelle Dalton and Mrs. Berniece Hinkle; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday at the United Methodist Church here. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
