Advance - Weldon Albert Rhodes of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Advance, died Tuesday at Sparks Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was the son of William A. and Ida Overby Rhodes.
He was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Advance and was a maintenance supervisor for Prudential Life Ins. Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of the United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Akers, Mrs. Carolyn Wulff and Mrs. Linda Musgraves; a stepson, Jim Swindell; His father, William A. Rhodes; brothers, Cecil and Paul Rhodes; sisters, Mrs. Jewell Redman, Mrs. Nelle Dalton and Mrs. Berniece Hinkle; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday at the United Methodist Church here. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
