Harry Hampton Harmon Sr. COLUMBIA - Services for Harry H. Harmon, Sr., 79, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Harmony Baptist Church Gaston, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Harmon was born January 21, 1934, in Lexington County, and was a son of the late Odis Loyd and Eva Lucille Hendrix Harmon. He retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp. Commercial Nuclear Fuel Division as Senior Engineer, attended Clemson A&M College and graduated from USC in 1957 with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 1959 Woodtrial Drive, Gaston, SC 29053, Boys Farm of Newberry, PO Box 713, Newberry, SC 29108. Surviving are his wife Georgia L. Harmon, sons, Harry H. Harmon, Jr. and wife, Alison, and Timothy S. Harmon, brother, O.L. Harmon, sister, Jackie Wingard, grandchildren, Sara Claire Harmon and Kayleigh Nadine Harmon.
