FUNERAL OF TUSCOLA WOMAN IS CONDUCTED

Mrs. Catherine Nichols Well Known Resident Buried in Arcola.


TUSCOLA, June, 10. — Mrs. Mary Catherine Nichols, aged 60, one of the oldest residents of Tuscola died in her home Tuesday morning after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted in the home of her brother John Cox. Rev. J. M. Goodspeed conducted the services. Burial was in the Arcola cemetery.

Mrs. Nichols had spent the largest part of her life in Tuscola as she came to Douglas county with her parents when she was a small child. She was married twice, in 1890 to Edward Applegate and following his death to Samuel Nichols. Mrs. Nichols leaves a brother, John Cox, with whom she lived for a number of years.
