Elsie A Rentfro, 87, of Mattoon, died at 4:05 AM Tuesday, Dec 26, 1995, at Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home, Mattoon.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Friday, at St John's Lutheran Church, Mattoon, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, Mattoon. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Ladies Aid Society or Lincolnland Visiting Nurses.
Mrs. Rentfro was born March 3, 1908, in Effingham County, the daughter of John and Helena {Hammer} Ohnesorge. She married Arthur Rentfro in 1927. He died in 1983.
She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Mattoon.
Survivors include her daughters, Gale Florence Durre and Nadine Cisna, both of Mattoon, Freda Vosburgh of Springfield; brother, Leonard Ohnesorge of Arthur; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
