B. F. Blanton Services to Be Held Wednesday
Benjamin F. Blanton, 71, of Duplex died in Fannin County hospital at 6:40
a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 1974.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Duplex Baptist
Church with the Rev. Everett Springfield officiating. Burial will be in the
Duplex cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral home.
Mr. Blanton was born Aug. 3, 1903, at Trenton, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F.
Blanton.
Survivors are a brother, Roy W. Blanton of Duplex and two sisters, Mrs. Ila
Lawrence of Duplex and Mrs. Thelma Bethel of Stephen, Ark.
He was a member of the Duplex Baptist church.
Active pallbearers will be Gorman Jaynes, Wesley Tanner, Loyd Hamilton,
charles Norris, Harold Nichols, and J. T. Norris.
He was a retired concrete contractor.

WILL filed and probated in Bonham, Fannin County, TX (research by Ruth Hasten
Walsh)
I, B.F. Blanton, a single man of Fannin County, Texas, hereby make, declare
and publish this my Last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills
and codicils made by me. (I) I direct my legally enforceable debts be paid.
(2) I will and bequeath to my sister, Ila Lawrence, all of my property, real,
personal and mixed, of whatever kind and wherever situated, to be hers in fee
simple. (3) I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my sister, Ila Lawrence,
as Independent Executrix of my estate, direct that no bond be required of her as
such and further direct that the Courts have nothing to do with the
administration of my estate other than to require the probate of this will and
the filing of the inventory, appraisement and list of claims required by law.
WITNESS MY HAND this the 29th day of April, 1969. /s/ B.F. Blanton
The above and foregoing instrument was declared by B.F. Blanton to be his
Last Will and testament and he signed the same in our presence; and we, in his
presence, in the presence of each other, and at his request, subscribe our names
hereto as attesting witnesses, this the 29th day of April, 1969. /s/ Linda
