Melba L. Monroe, 56, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013, in Denton, Texas.
Graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 til' 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the White Family Funeral Home.

Arrangements are entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, Texas.

Melba was born August 26, 1957 to C.L. and Mary (Hopson) Taylor in Bowie, Texas; she was a life long resident of Bowie. Melba worked in home healthcare taking care of the elderly. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and adored her dog, Poncho. Melba was full of life and always known as a jolly little lady.

She is survived by her three sons, Shannon Rhoades of Austin, Brian Monroe, and Kyler Monroe of Bowie; four grandchildren, Dallie and Cash Monroe of Bowie, Kaleb and Clohe Rhoades of Austin; four sisters, Kathy Taylor of FL, Louise Mayfield and husband, Kenneth of OK, Susan Lock and husband, Buck of Bowie, and Bonnie Brisco and husband, Willie of Bowie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
