" Mrs. John Humbert died at her home on the south side of Ottawa, Monday afternooon, April 27, of a complicaton of diseases, at the age of 76 years. Mr. and Mrs. Humbert celebrated their golden wedding in August, 1906, and were pioneer settlers, residing near Sheridan until their removal to Ottawa eighteen years ago. Mrs. Humbert was a member of the W.R.C., and was beloved by all who knew her. The bereaved husband and relatives have the loving sympathy of the entire community. the funeral services were held at St. Columba church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock."

Mrs. Kathryn Humbert, Aged Ottawa Lady, Passes Away.
Mrs. Kathryn Humbert, wife of John Humbert, passed away at the family home on State street, South Ottawa, Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, aged 76 years. The deceased had been in failing health for the past two years but up to within a month ago was able to be around. At that time she became confined to bed and the end last evening followed a slow falling away from the infirmities of old age.
Mrs. Humbert was one of Ottawa's best known old ladies and has made this city her home for the past 19 years. She has been a resident of the county for about fifty-four years a major portion of which time she lived with her husband and family on a farm near Sheridan.
Besides the husband the deceased leaves three daughters , Mrs. L. D. Retz, Mrs. Bert Zellers and Mrs. Mary Brown, all of this city, also one son, Paul, who resides on the homestead west of Sheridan.
The funeral took place from St. Columba church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment willl be held in St. Columba cemetery."
